LOKSET®
HIGH STRENGTH

Lokset® High Strength (HS) Resin cartridges can enhance the performance of your current roof control system.

The Lokset® (HS) Resin cartridge consists of two compartments separated by a physical barrier.

One compartment contains a polyester resin mastic and the other an organic peroxide catalyst.

The insertion and rotation of the bolt during installation ruptures the cartridge, shreds the film and mixes the two components, thus causing a chemical reaction which transforms the resin mastic to a rock-solid anchor.

The Lokset® (HS) Resin cartridge can be used in several borehole diameters and a wide range of rebar and bolting systems.

LOKSET® A-SERIES RESIN CARTRIDGES

The most trusted brand in resin cartridge anchoring systems. The A-Series, Lokset® resin cartridge was designed to work specifically with #6 (3/4") steel roof bolts in 25 mm (1") boreholes.

The principal applications for A-Series, Lokset® resin cartridges include fully grouted rebar, tension rebar, doweling and resin-enhanced mechanical anchors.

The Lokset® system consists of an easily handled cartridge, containing a reinforced polyester resin component together with a catalyst, in accurately measured quantities.

The components are isolated from each other by a physical barrier which prevents reaction between the components until mixing. The sausage shaped cartridge is designed for rapid insertion into a one inch diameter hole and is used with a #6 (3/4) rebar bolt. The system permits the placing of bolts in any position or angle above or below the horizon. Therefore, optimum bolt anchorage is possible in a wide range of rock or coal strata by easily adjusting the length of the resin anchor zone.

No reaction takes place until the bolt is inserted and rotated through the cartridge, mixing the components and initiating the curing action. The chemical nature of Lokset® cartridges allows the contents to be mixed easily, yet minimizing resin run out. The mixed resin fills the annulus around the bolt and creates a superior mechanical interlock with the surrounding strata. Standard “point” anchorages will be firmly interlocked with the substrate and bolt within minutes.

The setting time of the resin components can be controlled. A combination of fast- and slow- setting cartridges and differing insertion strengths makes possible the simultaneous operation of anchoring, grouting and tensioning of rock bolts. The simplicity of this method of anchoring/grouting eliminates the need for cumbersome injection equipment.

  • A-Series Cartridges:
    • 23mm (7/8") diameter, lengths ranging from one to seven grouted feet
    • For use with #6 (3/4”) roof bolts in 25mm (1") boreholes

LOKSET® B-SERIES RESIN CARTRIDGES

The most trusted brand in resin cartridge anchoring systems. The B-Series, Lokset® resin cartridge was designed to be used specifically in conjunction with #5 (5/8”) steel roof bolts in 25 mm (1”) boreholes.

The principal applications for B-Series, Lokset® resin cartridges include fully grouted rebar, tension rebar, doweling and resin-enhanced mechanical anchors.

The Lokset® system consists of an easily handled cartridge, containing a highly reinforced polyester resin component together with a catalyst, in accurately measured quantities.

The components are isolated from each other by a physical barrier which prevents reaction between the components until mixing. The sausage shaped cartridge is designed for rapid insertion into a wide range of diameter and length boreholes. The system permits the placing of bolts in any position or angle above or below the horizon. Therefore, optimum bolt anchorage is possible in a wide range of concrete structures or rock strata by easily adjusting the length of the resin anchor zone.

LOKSET® E-Series Resin Cartridges

The most trusted brand in resin cartridge anchoring systems. The E-Series, Lokset® resin cartridge was designed to work specifically with #7 (7/8”) steel roof bolts in 1-3/8" boreholes.

The principal applications for E-Series, Lokset® resin cartridges include fully grouted rebar, tension rebar, doweling and resin-enhanced mechanical anchors.

The Lokset® system consists of an easily handled cartridge, containing a reinforced polyester resin component together with a catalyst, in accurately measured quantities.

The components are isolated from each other by a physical barrier which prevents reaction between the components until required. The sausage shaped cartridges are designed for rapid insertion into a wide range of borehole sizes, where they may be readily pushed at any angle above or below the horizon. Therefore, optimum bolt anchorage is possible in a wide range of rock or concrete strengths and is easily achieved simply by adjusting the length of the resin anchor zone.

No reaction takes place until the bolt is rotated through the cartridge, mixing the components and initiating the curing action. The chemical nature of the Lokset® cartridge allows the contents to be easily mixed, yet minimizes resin run out after mixing is complete. The mixed resin fills the annulus around the bolt.

Standard “point” anchorages will be firmly interlocked with the substrate and bolt within minutes. The setting time of the resin components can be controlled. A combination of fast and slow-setting cartridges makes possible the simultaneous operation of anchoring, grouting and tensioning of a rock bolt. The simplicity of this method of anchoring/grouting eliminates the need for cumbersome injection equipment.

  • E- Series Cartridges:
    • 32mm (1-1/4") diameter, lengths ranging from one to seven grouted feet
    • For use with #7 (7/8”) roof bolts in 35mm (1-3/8") boreholes
