Minova’s long standing history started in 1882 in Dortmund, Germany. As Willich, an insulated pipe company, we entered the mining industry in 1958. Around 1995, Willich was acquired by Fosroc Mining, a leader in building and reinforcement supplies for the mining industry. After multiple strategic acquisitions and market-driven changes, Minova emerged and was purchased by Orica in 2006. Shortly after, Orica purchased leading mining steel producer, Excel and merged their operations with Minova. Orica provided guidance and resources enabling Minova to emerge as a wholly-owned subsidiary in 2016.
Today, our business has continued to bring innovative solutions to our customers. With manufacturing plants on six continents and operations in 25 countries, Minova has now evolved to be an industry leader of ground support and geotechnical solutions for mining, tunnelling and surface civil engineering projects as well as structural maintenance, rehabilitation and remediation.
