Resins, grouting and steel bolting products and accessories to stabilise the ground.
M24 Rock Bolts (also known as coal bolts) have been developed for use in point anchored or fully encapsulated roof and rib bolting applications.
Manufactured with a rolled M24 x 3.0 mm pitch right hand thread and a ribbed surface profile. Suitable for high load transfer and easy resin and grout application. Supplied complete with an anti-friction washer, dome washer and hexagonal 36 mm drive nut.
Recommended for use in 27 – 28 mm diameter holes. For >28mm diameter holes it is recommended to use Minova Secura bolt range.
Available in either standard “S” mild steel grade or extra high tensile “X” HSAC840 superior steel grade. X steel grade provides greater potential performance in conditions subject to stress corrosion cracking. Multiple lengths, diameters, pin and paddle configurations are available.
Cable bolts offer significantly higher strength compared to traditional bolts, along with unparalleled flexibility to accommodate the movements of the earth’s strata.
The Minova cable bolt range includes:
Surface support coverage providing increased safety.
Mesh provides surface support coverage to loose rock between installed rock bolts in underground mining excavations. Multiple configurations of mesh is available including numerous sheet sizes, apertures, wire diameters and black or galvanised wire.
Ausro straps are yielding straps which allow the straps to yield under load conditions allowing better load distribution between bolts. Ausro straps are used in unstable ground conditions where seismic activity is present, to improve surface support and ensure better connection between the surface support and bolts.
In addition to a complete range of steel and chemical components, we can provide an extensive and complimentary range of accessories for steel strata support requirements.
Our range of accessories include:
• Strata Straps
• Mechanical Anchors
• Mine Nuts
• Couplings
• Pull Collars
Enhanced standing and roof support solutions in underground coal mining.
Minova's Tekpak® P Pumpable Crib System has been specifically developed to provide enhanced standing and roof support in underground coal mining and offers substantial benefits in terms of roof control, speed and ease of installation.
Tekpak® P is a two part chemical system consisting of Tekcem® P and Tekbent® which when mixed together rapidly reacts to produce a load bearing crib. Tekcem® P is a blended cementitous powder which forms an easy to pump slurry when mixed with water, remaining pumpable for 24 hours. Tekbent® is a low viscosity non setting liquid with an indefinite pumping life.
The system provides a more productive means to install roof support in longwall mining operations, providing increased safety for operational personnel and more cost effective mine production.
Our FB200 low viscosity, high yield grout is used for many applications within underground mines. We have 20 years experience in using FB200 for stabilising rockfill to enhance stope extraction, constructing explosion rated ventilation seals, filling of large voids and constructing false pillars for pre-driven recovery roads.
We have developed variants for hostile conditions such as saline water, hot water and long distance pumping.
Typically pumped at a 2:1 water:powder ratio, FB200 can be used between 1:1 and 3:1 ratios depending on individual project requirements.
FB200 is supplied as a ready to use free flowing blended cementitious powder that only requires the addition of water in a suitable placing machine.
Injection chemical systems used for stabilising, sealing and consolidating the ground.
Bevedol® / Bevedan® is a two component, foaming polyurethane (PUR) injection system used to consolidate highly convergent strata. The system consists of a resin (Bevedol®) and a catalyst (Bevedan®) which is delivered into the strata via a pump unit and injection gun. The two components mix in the gun, which initiates the reaction of the product. The low viscosity mixture penetrates the smallest fissures, hardens and ensures the consolidation and sealing of the area submitted to treatment.
Geoflex® is a non-expanding, elasticised, two component injection resin system. Geoflex® Part A is a specialised sodium silicate with additives. Geoflex® Part B is a modified polyisocyanate.
The final product is a tough, flexible material with extremely high bond strength that is resistant against acids, alkalis, brines and many solvents. Ideal for grouting/injection coal and adjacent strata, sealing of injection anchors and stabilisation of debris.
Provide additional ground support and waterproofing solutions.
Rappass offers high performance, abrasion resistance and rapid strength. Rappass C, a special concrete mix requires the addition of water to produce a flowing concrete consistency. Rappass GD is a specially blended cement that is applied by dry shotcrete processes. Uses include lining ore passes, outfalls, spill ways, draw points, crushers and chutes.
Supplied as a pre-packaged coarse dry powder in 20kg bags. Sprayed with the addition of water using dry shotcrete process. Sprayplast can also be used for scat control and ventilation control.
Cement based spray material designed with excellent flexibility, high tensile strength and excellent adhesion qualities. Tekflex powder is added to Tekflex liquid through a specially designed pump system for a continuous mixing and spraying operation.
Used to permanently stabilise the integrity of rock structures while accommodating the stresses associated with strata movement and providing a barrier to moisture degradation. Tekflex was developed for specific use as an alternative to the use of steel mesh for scat control in underground mining excavations.
Stabilise rock and provide support when you need it most.
High strength, thixotropic anchoring grout used for top down grouting, grouting of long tendons and consolidation.
Ready to use, free-flowing, blended cementitious powder that only requires the addition of water in a high shear mixer, to produce a highly thixotropic grout.
With the addition of FB400 + to our range, you can now grout cables 100m away from the grout pump is located using Minova's industry leading grout
High strength, cable bolt anchoring grout. Supplied as a ready to use, free flowing, blended cementitious powder that only requires the addition of water in a high shear mixer. Stratabinder HS Slow Set is also available as a high strength, low viscosity grout for maximum strata penetration which remains workable for several hours.
Two component grouting resin for cable bolt anchoring and self drilling bolts. An instantly thickening, fast curing, two component silicate resin for high strength bonding of solid bolts and cable anchors. The final mixture thickens very quickly to form a tough, interpenetrating non porous elastic silicate. This minimises leakage from the bolt hole, displacing drilling water helping ensure full encapsulation.
Carbothix has been designed especially for use with our range of UniPass dynamic and static rock bolts. Tested in Australian conditions, Carbothix allows for improved rock bolting productivity.

Largest range of tested explosion rated ventilation control devices.
For more than 20 years we have engineered, designed, supplied and installed steel ventilation control devices (VCD's).
Our steel VCD products and service solutions are customised to suit our customer’s site specific requirements and engineered to conform with the requirements of underground coal mine legislation. Our focus is to continually offer VCD product designs which are safe to handle and improve installation times. All VCD’s are equipped with convenient and rated lifting points, allowing easier and safety handling during installation.
To ensure the longevity of our products, all steel structures are sand blasted and coated with a high build acrylic resin applied directly to the bare steel as a combined primer and topcoat. Two-coat epoxy paints and galvanizing can be also provided on request.
We supply overcasts, machine doors (vehicle doors), man-doors, coffin seals, access hatches for seals, air-locks and consumables. We also provide 2, 5, 20 and 50 psi rated steel VCDs including consumables cast into stoppings, goaf seals and formwork systems (Tecmesh and Meshblock).
