Rock reinforcement include methods that modify internal rock mass behaviours by installing structural elements that prevent further rock mass loosening, reduces deformation caused by excavating and stabilises the rock, extending the natural rock arch. This type of reinforcement is an active method of support that includes point anchored bolts, friction bolts and grouted bolts.

Friction bolts have been used internationally in mining for decades and are considered the simplest form of ground support available in metal mining. Compression of the high tensile steel "C" shape into a hole diameter smaller than the tube generates a load transfer from the steel to the rock. A steel ring is fixed to the collar end of the tube that will retain a plate on the installed tube to establish compressive force against rock.

M24 Rock Bolts (also known as coal bolts) have been developed for use in point anchored or fully encapsulated roof and rib bolting applications.
Manufactured with a rolled M24 x 3.0 mm pitch right hand thread and a ribbed surface profile. Suitable for high load transfer and easy resin and grout application. Supplied complete with an anti-friction washer, dome washer and hexagonal 36 mm drive nut.
Recommended for use in 27 – 28 mm diameter holes. For >28mm diameter holes it is recommended to use Minova Secura bolt range.
Available in either standard “S” mild steel grade or extra high tensile “X” HSAC840 superior steel grade. X steel grade provides greater potential performance in conditions subject to stress corrosion cracking. Multiple lengths, diameters, pin and paddle configurations are available.
The Secura Bolt is a solid reinforcing bar for use in strata environments of underground mines. Design includes a unique paddle system to improve resin mixing and resin film shredding. Consistent and efficient mixing of resin capsule components provide higher bond strength in large diameter boreholes
The solid reinforcing bar is threaded at one end with a high strength R thread profile, including a modified rope thread with large root and small crest areas. A torque nut is attached at this end. Available in various lengths and can be supplied black or hot dip galvanised.

Mesh provides surface support coverage to loose rock between installed rock bolts in underground mining excavations. Multiple configurations of mesh is available including numerous sheet sizes, apertures, wire diameters and black or galvanised wire.
Ausro straps are yielding straps which allow the straps to yield under load conditions allowing better load distribution between bolts. Ausro straps are used in unstable ground conditions where seismic activity is present, to improve surface support and ensure better connection between the surface support and bolts.
Glassfibre resin polymer (GFRP) mesh provides surface support coverage to loose rocks between installed bolts. Suitable for temporary and permanent solutions. Low-weight, ideal for decreasing risks associated with manual handling.
This mesh complies with standard grid applications while providing the added benefits of durability and cuttability. The high load capacity at each joint, comparable to welded steel mesh, is unique and makes the design of GFRP grid reinforced RC structures a viable option. The bolt has a high ultimate load and due to its profile, offers a maximum bond strength with all grouting materials. The bolt has a continuous thread and can be trimmed if required.
Solid bolts can be installed with cement grout or Lokset® resin capsules, while the installation of the hollow rods can be carried out with cement grouts or injection resins.
Continuously threaded, high strength rock bolting solution. Developed for strata support in mining and tunnelling, it has proven to be a versatile product for many applications. The GFRP system allows the bolts to be cut to length as required on location, as well as protecting equipment and machinery of they are required to be mined through.
