This innovative technology is increasingly popular for waterproofing in low water pressure environments. In 2013, ITAtech published guidance on the design, specification and application of spray applied waterproofing membranes. Since then, spray applied waterproofing has been used on many high-profile projects. The ability of the sprayed membrane to naturally bond to wall surfaces means that linings can be designed as composite structures which is ideal for use in combination with sprayed concrete. The bond prevents the migration of water that may occur with other traditional membranes.
Thin Spray-on Liners (TSL) were originally developed in the mining industry to cope with rock burst. Minova engineered polymer modified cements are designed to provide fast-acting, highly ductile rock support and are ideal for immediate rock support in challenging ground conditions. Minova structural membranes are a high-performance alternative to conventionally sprayed concrete where fast-acting support is needed, small volumes are required, or space is limited. This makes Minova TSLs highly suitable for application behind the Front Support, in hard rock gripper TBMs, or in mining and tunnel repair projects.
Our TekCrete Fast was originally developed in conjunction with the University of Kentucky and U.S. Homeland Security to aid the work of the first responders and allow them to enter shock-damaged buildings. The result was a sprayable, super-fast setting and hardening structural shotcrete.
The high-strength Tekflex membrane was originally developed according to the TSL (Thin-Sprayed-Liner) technology to serve as an alternative to steel mesh and shotcrete for mining projects. Today, the Tekflex family has expanded and covers many more applications in the civil and tunnelling sectors.
Tekflex products are based on mineral materials with special additives or polymers to achieve sufficient rigidity or required flexibility depending on the type of the application. With just a few mm of thickness, the Tekflex membranes represent an effective, low-cost solution for changing the mechanical parameters of the lining or increasing impermeability.
Fibre reinforced, this product offers strengths over 55 MPa and can be used in conventional, dry-process shotcrete equipment. It is ideal where immediate structural strength is required.
Tekcrete™ Fast M was developed in response to customer demand for a shotcrete with effectively immediate strength on application. The product can be used with or without steel or polymer mesh, although the mesh will provide additional tensile and flexural strength. Binding broken strata together for better structural integrity, Tekcrete™ Fast M can be used anywhere in a mine where conventional shotcrete is used and as with any coating or sealant.
Capcem™ KT is a rapid-hardening sealant coating that provides a protective layer to rock, concrete or coal surfaces which are susceptible to deterioration on exposure. Support strength develops rapidly after placement.
Capcem™ KT Fast 2C is a sealant coating that provides a protective, light grey layer to rock, coal, or concrete surfaces which are susceptible to deterioration on exposure. This product is especially recommended for stabilisation of burnt coal surfaces, whilst its fast rate of strength development allows rapid development of support.
Capcem™ KT Grey is a sealant coating that provides a protective grey layer to rock, concrete or coal surfaces which are susceptible to deterioration on exposure.
Capcem™ KT White is a bright sealant coating that provides a protective layer to rock, concrete or coal surfaces which are susceptible to deterioration on exposure. The bright white colour makes it particularly suitable for use in waiting places, underground workshops and similar locations.
When mixed with water, the material sets within minutes. It creates a coating with instant resistance to pulling off and delamination caused by active leaks of water. It is particularly recommended for areas with high moisture content or highly watered.
The foam is obtained after mixing component A (aqueous solution of phenolformaldehyde resin) and component B (aqueous solution of organic and inorganic acids).
It can be applied by spraying (components volume ratio 2:1) or by regular foaming (components volume ratio 4:1).
Minoterm can also be used to build or seal insulation and ventilation dams.
This product is a single component dry pre-bagged grout based on high quality mineral fillers and selected Portland cement. When mixing with the appropriate amount of water, it creates a stable semi- fluid or plastic grout, suitable for long-distance pumping or for manual use.
This PU system is obtained after mixing component A (poliols and additives) and component B (polymeric MDI isocyanate with additives) in a volume ratio of 1:1. Its properties allow to use the systems under various geological and mining conditions.
CT-2 is a mortar used for repair and reconstruction of concrete and reinforced concrete. CT- 2 can be applied either manually with use of the bonding grout CT-S or CTA/ S, or by a wet-spray process for large area repairs.
CT-A/S is a PCC/SPCC fine anti-corrosion and bonding mortar used for the repair and reconstruction of concrete structures. CT-A/S is also used as reinforcing steel anti-corrosion mortar and as bonding mortar between concrete and construction repair mortars.
Repair Mortar CT-6 is a one-component material, ready-to- use after mixing with batched water. CT-6 is a cement-based mortar with high quality aggregate up to 8 mm and modified with additives and polymers (PCC / SPCC). The material is dedicated for wet-process spraying as well as for manual repairs of concrete. CT-6 is a part of CT-95 Concrete Repair System.
CT-D is a one-component material, ready-to- use after mixing with batched water. CT-D is a cement-based mortar with high quality aggregate up to 4 mm and modified with additives and polymers (PCC). CT-D is a part of CT-95 Concrete Repair System.
CT-K is a one-component material, ready-to- use after mixing with batched water. CT-K is a cement-based mortar with high quality aggregate up to 4 mm and modified with additives and polymers (PCC). CT-K is a part of CT-95 Concrete Repair System.
CT-W is a one-component material, ready-to- use after mixing with batched water. CT-W is a cement-based mortar with high quality aggregate up to 2 mm and modified with additives and polymers (PCC / SPCC). CT-W is a part of CT-95 Concrete Repair System.
It is supplied as a ready to use blend of dry powders which requires only the addition of clean water to produce a highly compacted, rapid setting mortar which is easy to apply.
The material is based on a blend of cements, graded aggregates, special fillers and chemical additives which control the rate of set and minimise the risk of shrinkage cracking.

Minotor T is a dry-spray concrete based on high-quality Portland cement with the addition of other mineral components and graded quartz sand, which when mixed at the site of application with the appropriate amount of water sets to a durable concrete material.
Minotor C is a dry-spray concrete used for sealing and reinforcing of sidewalls, floor and roof of mining excavations, reservoirs and tunnels. It is also used for the construction of sealing and support packs in mines.
